Welcome back to Triumphant in Christ, I hope you gained something from the last post. My desire is that you will be imparted with truth from every post you read here. Let me go straight to business.
Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;
Hebrews 12:28 NASB
From the last post, I shared on how to be unshaken in a world where everything is shaking, and I established that to do so, you need to be a part of a kingdom that can not be shaken, which is God's kingdom, and also to be graceful and know that you were made for a purpose, which is service. In this second part, I will like to expound on this kingdom that cannot be shaken.
God's eternal kingdom is the kingdom that cannot be shaken, it is the kingdom that cannot be moved and he want us to come near and be a part of this kingdom. In Exodus 19, when God met with Moses, God descended on mount Sinai in a thick cloud of darkness yet there was fire and a shaking with lightning and thunder. The mountain could be seen yet cannot be touched, the people could not come near, God instructed Moses to put boundaries in place, so that the people can't come near, only Moses could approach the mountain with Aaron.
But something changed with Jesus' death, we can now come boldly to mount Zion (Hebrews 12:22-24) the heavenly Jerusalem which is God's city, all because of Jesus' shed blood. By his death, Jesus paid for all our shortcomings and now we can have our names written in heaven's book of life as citizens, this is what it means to be a part of an unshaken kingdom.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.
Hebrews 12:22-24 NASB
Remember this mount Zion cannot be seen or touched, how then do we say we are a part of it? It is by faith. Believing in what we cannot see and living in the reality of it. We dont see the air we breathe in, but we breathe anyway. We dont see God or this kingdom, but we believe anyway because the Holy Bible tell us stories of him. It is by this same faith that we will stand when everything is shaken. You would agree that most people die out of fear, and fear is the absence of faith. Faith is a strong believe or conviction that what we cannot see is there. This is the way to stand when everything is shaken.
Let me tell you a story from the Bible, of a master who went on a journey and gave gifts to his servants. To one he gave five, to another two and to the third he gave one. The one who received five gifts traded with it and had five more, the one who had two traded and had two more and the one who had one, didn't trade it, but buried it. When the master returned, he rewarded the servants who traded their gifts and ordered a punishment to the one who did not trade his gift and the one he had was taken from him. You can read this in Matthew 25: 14-30.
What I see from the story is fear and faith. The servants who traded their gifts had faith that it will multiply, but the servant who had one gift was fearful, infact he was so afraid (verse 24-25) of his master that he buried the gift. When we live in fear, we bury the good, but when we have faith, we will be gracious and grateful for the little we have.
In the end, life is not really about us, it's about Him our Maker GOD, and history is His-story of redemption. And for everything He created, he made for a purpose and to each person he has given something that can be traded for good.
What do you have in your hands that you think you cannot use? Or you hide out of fear that it will yield no good? Many times I talked myself out of doing something, because in my mind I think it's no good, only to do it and find someone benefits from it.
Let me say that the shaking is a day of reckoning, a day of account reconciliation. The Master returned in Matthew 25 to reconcile the account and he found one servant had fallen short, this servant who failed to trade his gift did not make the transition to the kingdom that cannot be shaken, and eventually he was faced with judgement. By faith make the transition to the unshakable kingdom, and put that one thing to good use, take each day in faith knowing that you are a part of a kingdom that cannot be shaken. And when all other things that are been shaken are destroyed, you will still be standing strong, because you belong to a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Till you stop by next time, remain UNSHAKEN.
